Material Needs Calculator
The Kratom. One material needs calculator turns a production plan into kilograms of raw material to order. Multiply finished units by pieces per unit by the amount of material in each piece, then add a loss allowance for filling and handling. The result is shown in kilograms and pounds, with an optional material cost. It is weight arithmetic only and says nothing about strength, effects or use.

How it works
How the material needs calculator works
| Step | Formula |
|---|---|
| 1. Net material | Units x pieces per unit x material per piece |
| 2. Loss allowance | Net material x loss % |
| 3. Order quantity | Net material + loss allowance |
| 4. Pounds | Kilograms / 0.45359237 |
| 5. Material cost | Order quantity (kg) x price per kg |
Worked example
1,000 bottles x 100 capsules x 500 mg is 50 kg of material. With a 5% loss allowance you order 52.5 kg, about 115.74 lb. At $20.00 per kg, the material cost is $1,050.00.

Material Needs Calculator FAQ
How is the amount calculated?
Finished units x pieces per unit x material per piece gives the net material. The loss allowance is added on top, and the total is converted to kilograms and pounds.
What loss allowance should I use?
It depends on your process and equipment. Use the figure your manufacturer gives you. Many producers plan for a few percent to cover filling and handling loss.
Does this calculator say anything about strength or use?
No. It is weight arithmetic only and does not describe effects, strength or how a product should be used.
Can I send the result to Kratom. One?
Yes. The Make an offer on this quantity button opens the Make an Offer form with your kilograms and price already filled in.
